Thermalright AM5 CPU Cooler Secure Frame – Black

The Thermalright AM5 Secure Frame Black V2 replaces the default CPU Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM) on AM5 motherboards. It is precision-machined from aluminum alloy to provide perfectly even and consistent pressure across the entire CPU Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS). While the AMD AM5 socket is generally robust, this frame offers two main benefits:

• Anti-Bending Protection: By eliminating pressure points, it helps mitigate potential warping or bending of the CPU IHS over time, especially with high-pressure coolers.
• Thermal Paste Control: Its full-fit design prevents thermal paste from seeping into the cutouts/gaps around the sides of the CPU, making maintenance and re-pasting significantly cleaner and easier.

Note: For AM5 CPUs, the primary benefit is improved thermal paste containment and long-term protection, with minimal impact on peak thermal performance compared to the large gains seen on certain Intel platforms.
